I'd pick based on the connection as well. Frankly, I'd try to avoid connecting in ORD or BOS altogether, especially ORD in the winter.

Depends on your final destination of course, but I'd strongly consider JL's NRT-DFW flight if it offers a good connection to wherever you're going.
