Most people when discussing Japan travel immediately think of Mount Fuji.
So, to start with, here are five pictures taken from a pathway on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchiko near to the Oishi Natural Living Centre.

Getting a clear day for pictures like this is exceptional. It took three visits to Japan for Fuji-san to co-operate!

I'm adding another picture to this sequence as it is relevant for many who visit Japan.
While not everyone visiting Japan is so fortunate as to be able to visit Mt. Fuji anyone travelling on the main Shinkansen line south from Tokyo often gets a good if distant view. The attached picture was taken on the 6.00am train from Yokohama to Hiroshima abot 20minutes into the journey travelling at about 150mph.
