I have found them very accommodating (when I was a very regular "flight + car") in that non-flex arrangements were changed at no charge. It paid off, I now use them for genuine holidays and find the deals & the hotels very good (BCN tomorrow).
In Newcastle you have Customer relations, Sales,Change booking and SSR. All seperate departments but its SSR (sales servicing and retentions, no i dont get the name either!) that handle amending/cancelling BA holidays bookings. SSR is probably the most complex department and usually agents will have moved department from change booking or sales.
If you call within 48 hours of travel or when on holiday it will be the BA holidays duty team who are based in Crawley.
