I was in row 14 for a total of 15 minutes before my upgrade cleared and got bumped up to first but I had not issue with the roominess on that row at all. Definitely seemed comfortable enough to me. I was on a A319 that had newer seats but no AVOD so not sure if that makes a difference at all but the first few rows of Y seemed fine also.
