I fly the LAA A319 often on 3+ hour flights. I love the exit row. Wide seats, plenty of legroom. I was dismayed when my regular route was switched from a 738, but I have found that I am happy wth this plane. Granted, since I always book pretty far out, I've always been in row 14 or the bulkhead, so I've never experienced a standard pitch Y seat.
I was in row 14 for a total of 15 minutes before my upgrade cleared and got bumped up to first but I had not issue with the roominess on that row at all. Definitely seemed comfortable enough to me. I was on a A319 that had newer seats but no AVOD so not sure if that makes a difference at all but the first few rows of Y seemed fine also.
