Thanks. Whilst my first post, I have been a long time consumer of FT content (at least, the BAEC part of it).

I didn't have specific insurance covering my climbing gear sadly. Lesson learned. I've bought some cheap new supermarket brand clothes and toiletries to last me so far, but obviously it becomes harder with more specialist equipment. I'll buy the minimum gear I need to continue with the trip, and take it up with BA later. It's good to know others have had success.

Tracking the items is interesting. When I phone BA, they keep disagreeing with what WT says, telling me that WT is wrong (I don't think it is). It's been in the "being delivered by courier" state for 2 days now. A little odd as the forest I'm in is only 30 mins by car from Orly, not isolated at all. I could have walked it quicker.
