The fact is - quite apart from any failures to deliver food - there is absolutely no guarantee of any Avios compensation for affected passengers.

I missed that one, so not everyone gets the Avios. I agree that it would be infuriating if I was expecting food and none turned up fortunately my experiences so far have been good.
