For an upcoming trip I've booked a $99/night elite rate at the FS Marriott near the airport. It's embarrassingly low for a decent full-service property, especially when the CY, FFI, SHS, and RI all are materially more expensive. Parking is $10 extra but the rate includes breakfast for two. Whenever I can find a rate like that I'll pay cash instead of using a Cat 1-5 cert.
Yes this property and all the other DEN Marriott family are in quiet locations and pretty decent dining with a safe and short walk. Sometimes, before I moved here I would drop the rental car the night before, take the shuttle back and spend the night. Although I often had a departure too early to partake in the breakfast in the main area or in the CL, these are what airport hotels should be. Modern, off main traffic intersections and quiet. And...the FS Marriott and RI are almost 10 miles from the airport. There are plenty of “airport” tagged properties in other areas and far closer to an airport that do not offer shuttles.
