Last January, I bought a Business Class ticket for a November flight from PEK to BKK via an online agency, departing at 5:55 and arriving at 10:10.

Today I received notice from the agency that the departure time remained the same, however the arrival time was now 14:45. There was no other explanation, and when I did some research, I found out that the flight would now be making a "technical stop" at Phuket. What was previously a journey of 3 hours and 10 minutes is now nearly 9 hours long.

Has anybody else experienced this? I'm not at all happy with this development, and I'm wondering if I have any recourse.
