True, but what you lose in pitch to the seat in front doesn't affect the bed length, in fact it's considerably more generous. It was my first experience of a 'foot box' seat and it was more than fine to me, because the seat sits quite low and there was more than enough room to move your feet around. Also, the upside of this design is that storage and the sense of width and separation from neighbours is way ahead of CW IMO.
Sadly the only photos I can find of the seat on a plane showing the foot box/coffin are ones such
as these. They don't fill me with confidence that I'd be able cross and uncross my feet easily but I'm happy to be proved wrong.
