Thanks - in this case not checking it out, but planned to use it as in sat down fully clothed in the sauna. There is also a woman who I have seen a few times in a hotel who comes in full spandex workout wear ie long leggings, spandex top, and shoes, and sits and sweats. In the UK I have seen all sorts of disgusting sauna behaviour, including women bringing in body scrubs, or shaving legs in the steam room.

The lack of pool shower I have noticed in the US, but also in Mexico at US chain hotels. And even when there is a pool shower, it does not mean that everyone will use it. I will admit to telling a family a few months ago at a Hilton in Bavaria that they made the pool and jacuzzi pretty much unusable for the rest of us as they climbed in wearing shorts and tshirts.
