QR: I wouldn't choose this option because for DOH-BOM, the best connection time means both legs on a 777, which has a hard product that is really behind their A380s/787s/A350s. Also, it arrives in BOM at 2 am and you depart BOM on the inbound.

EK: There are flight options with good connecting times, which is good, but the only one with an A380 on the second leg arrives at 2 am in BOM and departs at 4 am when you leave, which I think is a really big negative. Their A380 is a great ride in J for the JFK-DXB leg, but the 3.5 hours on a 777 isn't ideal because of the 2-3-2.

EY: They have 1 routing with good arrival/departure times. Their product is fantastic. You will get to experience their A380 on the JFK-AUH leg, and their 777s have a nice product as well for the AUH-BOM leg. I like their soft product as well.

VS: I don't think VS flies to BOM anymore so it would be 9W on the second leg, which you said you don't like.

AF/KLM: It would have to be AF to avoid 9W. My only problem with this option is that the initial JFK-CDG leg would be on an A380, which is not ideal because the AF A380s are still angle-flat and not lie-flat. So, it would be a rough redeye.

UA: This will definitely be the most convenient flight and will be the least amount of time in the air/in an airport. I have done this flight before and it was perfectly fine. I personally think the departure and arrival times of the flights both ways are very convenient.

Overall, I would recommend UA if you prioritize time efficiency and EY if you want the best soft product experience.
