I swear this is true, but am having a tough time finding the post(s) referencing it. May have to dig through the old Citi AA Plat thread.
Edit: For the life of me I can't find any reference to it, even in the old threads, so I could just be confusing this with something else. I'm still going to buy something tomorrow using my latest card (since I just got an extra 10k miles), just in case.
