Amex $550+$175 for just 1 (or 2 or 3) additional authorized Plat card user vs. CSR $450+$75 for one additional authorized CSR card user? If the idea is to manage card fee expenses and have authorized users with comparable benefits to the primary card account member, the CSR looks better post-Amex fee hike than it did before the Amex fee hike.

Are authorized users such bad business for the card issuers? The card fee structure seems to have a story to tell in that regard.
Well, the AXP fee went up $100/year for the primary card holder, but they added $200 in Uber rides, if you're a even a light Uber user that new benefit could offset the increase.

I'm not (I prefer Lyft), but I'll still keep the card even after the new fee hits my account next March. The $200 in airline credits and access to the Skyclub are nice perks, plus now the third party lounge access allows two guests. I also appreciate the gold status at SPG/Marriott/Hilton.
