Just recently I received a message from EK that the PVG-DXB segment of my upcoming trip in F will change to a 2 class 380 with logically no F.
Don't worry, I thought, I'm in Busan in South Korea then, and instead of going back via PVG I can easily change to ICN-DXB on the same day.
Yes, I can, my TA found out, but EK would charge EUR 400 for this. This was the point where my sense of justice showed alarm. I can accept, that an Equipment Change becomes necessary from time to time, but cannot accept that a customer, who offers a reasonable alternative gets fined.
Happy that I still work with a professional TA, with some pressure on the local EK office all over sudden there was no surcharge any more.
