Any chances of politely arguing for it (I know nothing of the Hilton world... Nor any hotel chain, I just stay at whatever...) but it seems hotels are more flexible than airlines.
I was at a hilton club, first time (London Wembly), not a bad concept. No food except for nibbles except for breakfast (and it seemed better downstairs so went there) and "happy hour" 6-8pm which had beer red/white wine and foodwise OKish. Fish and chips, Nachos, cheese board and some salads. is that standard or above/below standard? Any clubs with spirits? better food? More hours?
I doubt that Hilton will care what your non-Hilton credit card spend is if they currently don't have an arrangement with a UK credit card to provide diamond status based upon spend. Now if your Hilton spend is great enough (120,000 base points in a calendar year) then diamond is available.
