Super cheap fares can be found as someone had posted above but that requires flexibility and booking at the right time. We booked 8 months in advance and needed specific dates and times.
All I'm saying is that it might be cheaper to buy a more expensive ticket that already includes checked-in luggage etc.
For example you might find a Safair flight for R699, add a bag for R150 and you're at R849, for the same day a Mango flight (which includes baggage) is sold for R764
