Both are too small for 4 adults, 4 large bags and 2 duffel bags IMO. The Edge/Escape is ok for 4 adults, but not sure you'll get 4 large bags in them unless 1 goes in the back/middle. But then it's still tight. A minivan or standard elite SUV are much better options.

The standard is slightly larger, but not much. In either case, you'd be lucky for any rear window visibility.

They *should* have something to upgrade to, but not necessarily. Really hit or miss, and no way to tell what the cost might be.
