which would make the most sense - an intermediate SUV or a standard SUV for the following scenarios:

1. 4 adults
2. 4 full sized hard cases plus maybe one or two smaller duffel bags
3. we will be using the car to drive from LA to Vegas and back
4. we were looking at cars from Avis
5. ideally, i dont need to put any bag in the back seat.

The intermediate on Avis's website says it takes 4 medium suitcases whilst the standard says 1 large and two small.

from that, it seems like intermediate makes sense because i could (possibly?) just put the 4 cases on their sides in the back / have them stand upright in the back and maybe - back window visibility gets obscured a little ?

i would have thought the standard would have more room though but guess not from what the website says.

do you guys agree ?

also - what are the chances, if i end up at the airport and decide ok its really a tight squeeze and i need something bigger, that avis will have something with a bigger capacity for me to upgrade to ?
