I just booked an award ticket in J (using DL miles) that has a 9 hour layover going MEL-CAN-CDG (3:20pm-12:20am). I can't seem to get anything done on csair.com, presumably because it's a 006 ticket stock, not the typical 784 that CZ uses. I hope I can still get a hotel room for those 9 hours that I have, though it's during the day.
UPDATE: I tried calling CZ for travel accommodation. I hung up after 2 hours on hold. I them emailed CZ using the MEL reservations address and got a reply refusing my request for a hotel reservation on the grounds that the ticket was issued by DL.
They actually said:
Since Delta airlines has issued this ticket we will not be able to apply any of our policies for the passengers.
...which I guess means that I can wave off
ANY CZ policies that I don't like because they don't apply to me. I have that in writing too.
