Equipment change is generally not a reason for a free rerouting. Unfortunately NH will be in their good right to state that they are still transporting OP on the same routes, the same dates and times, and in business class. Seat assignments and specific seats are never guaranteed.
Yep - that's exactly what the ANA agents stated. The last one I spoke to, after much hemming and hawing, agreed to "check with headquarters and get back to [me]", but told me not to get my hopes up. I guess we'll see.
