HND-YVR Equipment Change questions (was: Rerouting Policy?)
Hi All,

I'm booked on YVR-HND-(stop)-TSA-HND-YVR on ANA departing Oct 14 and returning Oct 28.

I was just informed that the YVR-HND and HND-YVR have been swapped from a 789 with lie-flat seats to a 788 with the regional business class.

Called ANA, and they are not willing to 1) reroute me via SEA/SFO/SJC/LAX, 2) change the departure point to one of those cities (since I have to reposition anyways), or 3) change to a codeshare on AC for YVR-NRT at no charge. Instead, they offered a) reroute via SEA for $2,000+ more or b) a full refund. Asked for a manager and got the same response.

This is very unfortunate because when I originally made my booking, there was an equally priced option on Air Canada, which is no longer available.

Am I just out of luck here?
