You can only pre-select the main course. Entree, desserts and drinks cannot be pre-ordered.
Nevertheless, I think it's a smart move from QR and should allow them to reduce the food they have to carry around without having to limit options for passengers.
I am also super happy that I now have 5 more seconds to enjoy the "inflight amenities" as there is one less dish to order. It only takes about 5 minutes to make that choice beforehand online :P
