Can Travel Agent cancel booking after e-ticket issued?

Hi all,

I have been having terrible trouble with a UK based travel agent since I booked and paid in full for flights through them a couple of months ago.

Basically they kept telling me that my flights had been booked which they had but what they didn't tell me was that although they had made the bookings they didn't actually pay the airlines for the flights so eventually the bookings dropped off of the airlines booking system.

To cut a very long story short and after calling/emailing the agents every day we have now been booked onto another airline and have received the airline booking reference and e-ticket numbers.

I am quite rightly very concerned about the travel agent and worried that they may still "pull the booking" somehow.

Does anyone have an idea if they can do this or not? In the meantime I'll keep my eye on the booking on the airlines website every few days.
