You refer to arriving at OKA (Naha, Okinawa) but then refer to OAK (Oakland, CA.) Then there is a mention of Osaka. Please use the names of the places you wish to visit rather than the codes. It will make it much easier to help.
Whoops - that was a typo... OKA meaning Okinawa. I want to go there because 1) I've never been but 2) it's a warmer climate and don't want to spend the whole holiday freezing
Thanks for the tip Gradfly on ppl going to their home towns - perhaps that's why it's hard to secure reservations at Ryokans? many of them are booked out already.
