Dominican Republic - Stay & Play, Maybe Haiti?
I have booked a trip to the DR 10/13/17 - 10/20/17.(Myself, wife & sister) Airline booked. I have booked lodging at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. Although there are activities there and around, we would like to do an excursion to "27 Waterfalls", but are having difficulties doing so. Most excursions are out of Punta Plata.
Should we hire a private driver to get us there? Recommendations?
I could cancel in Punta Cana and rebook in Punta Plata if that would make more sense. Plan on doing Ziplining, Dolphin/Shark encounter, horseback riding, golf.
And ... would it be worth taking a short trip into Haiti? We love to travel, experience and learn. Maybe for a day?
