After living in Shanghai for two years, I'd take the Hilton Shanghai which is the one you're booked into. It's near Jing'an Temple (same station you'll get off of Line 2 at) and the shopping malls on West Nanjing Road. Lots of food options in the area.

As for getting to there from PVG, you can take Line 2 all the way from PVG to the Jing'an station or take Maglev to Longyang Road station then Line 2 to Jing'an. If you do take Line 2 all the way, you'll have to switch trains at Guanglan Road (it's only walking across the platform). The Maglev does not operate at its highest speed all day and not at all when it rains but it does cut a lot of time off the ride.

I'll just taxi it from PVG. Sounds like way to much of a big deal on a train system I have zero experience with.
