Flying out of Canada, SM is easy to get with just leisure travel. No MQD's, MQMs always at 100% (including many Skyteam airlines) and pretty good number of upgrades received so far. Contrast this with Air Canada where the cheapest fares earn 25% in AQMs.
Also, it helps that Delta/SkyTeam has a lot of cheap fare deals flying out of YYZ every so often.
They also feed us better, even in coach, than Air Canada.
