I was charged by a bull elephant -- young male, not in a herd -- in India near Mysore. Quite frightening actually. He did not roll our SUV, but he was close enough to smell his breath.

They say that magenta is the navy-blue of India, but I won't again be wearing brightly colored shirts in the bush anytime soon, even if most animals are color-blind. (I am convinced the shirt color, if not its pattern, bothered "my" elephant).
