question about Mixed carrier award chart

It says:

Award zones are based on the one-way distance between the origin airport and destination airport. If connecting sectors are involved, the sector distances should be added together to determine the total one-way distance and the applicable award zone. Unless indicated otherwise, the awards in the table apply to round-trip flights.

Does that mean RT is 2x allowance of the distance shown? For Example: Zone C, up to 5000 miles, requires 45k pts for Y (RT). Does that mean this RT itin can actually fly 10,000 miles?
