Renewed Plat cards of myself and my wife in June:
I charged almost $40K in a year and all I got was refund of the $95 fee.
My wife charged about $18K. She got the $95 refund, extra 1K AA miles every month she charges >$1K (I think for 6 months), in same phone call. And email offer of 2 bonus miles on restaurants and supermarkets for 3 months (with some limit).
So - what is the optimal yearly charge for retention offer and bonuses ?
