Just to make everything clear. I am EXTREMELY pleased with Volumebuy and these certificates.
I believe the agent that took 50 minutes to issue the ticket would probably have taken 50 minutes to issue the tickets even without the certificates. It was also time I would have spent at the airport anyways. The savings on 600 bucks of tickets was 150 dollars. Not an insignifigant amount IMHO.
Although, the Volumebuy people made a small mistake on the billing, they were quick to rectify the problem and more importantly were easy to contact via an 800 number.
the method the agent used to generate my tickets resulted in the full price of the ticket being printed on the ticket. There is no real way by looking at the ticket for you to tell I used these certificates.
I was allowed to use a VIP2 upgrade that permits upgrade on international flight on the BRU-DCA flight. i was told I could request an upgrade using electronic 500 mile stickers, however i did not actually request it.
I did not try and use miles to upgrade so I do not know the answer to that question.
And finnally, I have decided to buy a few more of these certificates to pay for another trip to Brussels in March.
