Checked in earlier this week and was told that the lounge was closed. As I Diamond I asked if this meant that breakfast was complimentary in the restaurant in the absence of a lounge. Was told that I would receive $10/day food and beverage credit to use however I choose. I asked how much the breakfast buffet was and was told that it was $27. There is the Herb N Kitchen that has take away things that could probably total in the $10 range, but this strikes me as really not making up for the lack of a lounge.

I like this hotel, and have stayed here often. This change, one that I did not like, will cause me to stay at any of the other Chicago properties instead of this one.
