Taking SkyTeam (presumably DTW-AMS/CDG-IST) as far as IST and then TK to DOH sounds pretty decent. TK is generally a good airline and has a nice lounge at IST; IIRC there's also a lounge for SkyTeam there. In fact, TK generally has good F&B in business class.
Have heard bad stories about people getting the SSSS after flying through IST. Worth noting.
