It is easy to find the correct PNR for the DEN flight. You need to access you itinerary on aa.com and then click on 'select seats' (or something similar) and it should take you to the BA operating PNR where you will (should) be able to purchase seats. It is getting the other PNR (for the FAO flight as you booked as a prime BA flight) that's usually difficult. But do try selecting seats from aa.com using the master booking reference for your entire itinerary. Or do what
papagayo suggest - call and ask the agent to find you on that flight. Do not tell them any booking reference numbers (you have so many that they will confuse them). Let them find you on the BA flight and that will be the PNR where you will be able to purchase seats.

For the other BA flight (FAO-LGW) the BA website does not allow me to buy seats in advance.
Although this now makes me suspect that there may be something else at play than the wrong PNR.
