I am flying to Mexico on United's Airbus A320. United's customer service did confirm that some seats in coach do have electrical outlets for laptops, but they didn't know what kind of outlets it is. Has anybody ever connected his laptop on United's Airbuses? Is it the same outlet as the one you have in your car so that a regular car adapter would work?
