I have just enough SkyMiles for an economy award & my partner has enough to xfer from UR to AF FlyingBlue for an award redemption for the same Delta flight from ATL - LHR.

Checking Delta & AF, both have award availability for this. Since we are needing to book these separately, will we be able to choose seats together or link the tickets somehow ?

Apologies if this has been asked before; this is my first time booking anything on AF so I am not sure if you can choose seats on an award flight or if anyone had any experience with the seats getting shifted around if you are able to do so ahead of time for separate bookings.
