My flight was Galapagos-Guayaquil, Guayaquil-Lima. So I also bought ticket Quito-Guayaquil, because then I wanted to continue my flight.
As I came to the check-in in Guayaquil, they said my flight was cancelled.
I didn't knew that if I don't take one flight , that further flights are going to be cancelled.
I'm 22 and it is the first time that I travelled alone. I really didn't knew that, otherwise I would cancel my flight from Galapagos.
Is there something I can do?
Please help.
Thank you.
Regards.
I presume you did not fly on the Galapagos-Guayaquil portion of the ticket, correct? If so, that is true, if you skip a segment on your ticket, the rest of the ticket is canceled, this is known typically as skipping a segment. It is against the law and the airlines frown upon it. I presume the Guayaquil-Lima was the return portion that was lost, correct? My only suggestion is to see if the carrier takes pity of you, other than that, you will have to purchase another ticket.
Good luck, and a very hard and expensive lesson to learn.
