HGVCs are time share resorts that also rent out the units night to night like a hotel. Base points are earned on the folio spend but elite benefits are light (no lounges) and typically the on site dining options are limited. But you get a full kitchen and more living space than a typical hotel room/jr suite. I am at Ocean Oaks later this month on a paid rate and looking forward to it. I will be avoiding the timeshare sales pitch like the plague .
