If you are travelling in pair and I think QR is probably best option on OW. I'd also consider AY - A350 seats are very nice and their lounge in HEL is great (you can even use the sauna). CX via HKG on the outbound with an inbound via HKG / LGW could also be a good option if prices are similar or less than what you would have paid on BA ones.
The problem with the bar, as you say, is that the time is spent drinking rather than sleeping. After flying LGW-DUB on EK and drinking the whole flight followed by 2hrs sleep, I was an absolute mess. Fun though Just too easy to say you'll only have one and then get chatting to people..
