I can only agree with previous posters : that kind of discussions between groups of pax is a huge nuisance for the others. I had this twice recently and the crew even told me they would ask to stop that if they don't do it spontaneously.
It is a GIGANTIC nuisance.
On a short (6 hours or so) night flight like AF009 eaving at 11:25pm, many (most) pax skip dinner to sleep and have dinner in lounge or in the city. Personally I do, as I used to have to work the next day (or enjoy my family). I also skip the poor breakfast to try to get 4+ hours of sleep.
Having someone talking from seat 2E to 2K will disturb most pax in this confined environment. it is very disrespectful to other pax. Glad I am not on your flight.
