It will depend on the delivery dates of the new rolling stock (ie, if there are no delays) but the current timetable if for late 2018 for the Bang Sue to Tha Pra section (along Charan Sanitwong) and late 2019 for the Chinatown-Phetkasem section. E&S should be installed well on time for the opening next year.
Extract from the update that I am about to post;
a) Bang Sue - Tha Phra, 13.1 km, 7 elevated stations, Opens late 2018.
b ) Hua Lamphong - Lak Song, 13.9 km , 7 elevated & 4 underground stations. Opens 2019.
The original opening date was to be mid 2016, so not too bad on the normal delay front.
