Earlier today, I confirmed an upgrade to my girlfriend's ticket (using miles from my account). I also got her seat assignments at that time.
When I got the confirmation e-mail, I noticed that her OnePass number had disappeared from the record.
So, I called Reservations and asked them to put it back in.
The representative did so; in the process, though, she somehow removed the seat assignments from the record. (My girlfriend was still upgraded, but there just weren't any seat assignments.) So, she tried to reinstate the seat assignments. She succeeded for one of the flights, but said that seat assignments for the other flight were under airport control at this point.
I then went to the Continental Web site and was able to get her original seat assignment back for the second flight. So, do we now have more seat assignment authority than Reservations?
