The Bihn Freudian Slip seems like a big waste of space. I keep all of my cables, adapters, etc. in a small pouch. Tom Bihn makes quality bags and accessories (I own some of their gear), but I find that they overly organize everything to the nth degree. I think the Red Oxx Miniboss is a great bag and I have used it both as a carry-on for short trips and also as a personal item with a larger carry-on.
The Freudian Slip does take up about 1/2 inch of depth all by itself, but it is very light...important for 1-baggers . Red Oxx kept the "business side" of the mini boss minimalist to allow for clothing overflow/flexibility I suppose, but when you have the room and want more organization without all your crap settling in the bottom this works well.
