I don't think I'd stay here at the rates they're asking on their own website. The play here is the HKD500-ish rate that can be had via Starwood's BRG. I stopped by last week and spoke to the GM -- he seems like a nice guy, but was adamant about no benefits for SPG Plats. And he won't match the rate that can be had via SPG's BRG. The Design site has a much weaker BRG that only matches mainstream sites.
I'm also interested where to get a SPG BRG of HKD500. That is less than half the price of the usual pre-paid rate on SPG or booking direct.
Breakfast is fine here but not great (only hot items are rubber scrambled eggs and hash browns) and you can buy a lot of drinks at your own convenience for the the HKD600 difference. So a BRG of HKD500 is clearly the better value.
