Wow, that is really curious. Hertz seems to have changed you from a daily rate plan to a weekly rate plan at a significantly higher rate. This is something that should never happen, despite what Hertz told you over the phone, but unfortunately, Hertz's IT department is not the best, and this is far from the first time we've seen something like this.
Hertz is completely sold out of Minivans right now, and other companies are far higher in price. While I know this is probably not what you want to hear, my best recommendation is to stick with what you currently have, since it's significantly better than anything else you can get at this point.
Your "ace in the hole" so-to-speak is that original confirmation email from Hertz clearly shows the $569.63 rate. What I would do is this:
a. Bring your original confirmation email with you when you pick up the car. Of course, Hertz is going to try to charge you the higher amount. I would just play dumb and show the rep at the counter your confirmation and tell them you expect them to honor the rate they originally quoted you, especially since no changes were made to the reservation and you made it through their own website. They will hem and haw, but they absolutely do have the power to adjust it, you will just have to be very persistent. Demand to see a manager if needed. I think this is just some sort of IT failure on Hertz's part, but regardless they should get it adjusted for you one way or another.
b. Failing that, you should escalate with Hertz customer support after the rental is completed. Again, you will get pushback, but with enough escalations and complaining, I feel they will resolve the matter in your favor. Typically if you have an original confirmation with a full breakdown, it makes a HUGE difference in getting this sort of thing resolved in your favor.
All of that said, I can tell you how to save about $75 off the cost of the $833.53 rate right now, but by doing this, you will be modifying the reservation, which is going to complicate your efforts to seek reimbursement at a later time (at the counter or via customer service after the rental is completed). Then again, if you don't want to bother with the escalation route, then this might be a good option for you...
It looks like PC code 310353 should take 10% off the base rate of your rental. You can call Hetrz reservations and ask them to apply this PC code to your current reservation and it should hopefully lower the rate by about $75. Ask them to confirm the new rate for you before actually locking in the change.
Good luck regardless of how you decide to proceed here.
