The missing letter denoted by the asterik is "x" as in "x-ray!" It's a popular spot with honeymooners from the Korean and Japanese mainlands and has an adults-only very explicit theme park!

This topic came up by accident because of AC17 YUL-PVG. First the initial flight, I believe Fin 803, had mechanical problems and had to dump fuel over the Laurentians before returning to YUL.

Then it seems the replacement, Fin 801, diverted to Jeju because of weather at PVG. Sure can't have been a pleasant flight - but we could sure endure it if back in 2A & 3A - and if the flight was to Japan!
