should be at no charge, but you'll have to contact AA Vacations to check. Or, try contacting AA directly?
As to your second question, there's a FAQ in the Wikipost at the page that directly answers your question. (No, it does not. You can even book the minimum of three days for a vacation of ten days, and still not show.)
