I hope it was me on your last flight. I like to think I do a great job. Unlike most of my counterparts, I LOVE working in First Class. I like to make sure that, as much as possible, the experience in First Class is just that.... a First Class experience. It seems like much has been taken away in the name of security, and much that hasn't been taken away for security's sake has been dropped due to cost cutting. The only thing that sets the experience apart from sitting in coach is the way that the service is delivered and the level of attention and a slightly larger seat. Anyway, I digress....

Yes, it seems as though our flights tend to be filling up closer to departure. It's odd, you can check a flight about two weeks prior to departure and see that there are 50 open seats. In two weeks time those 50 seats can fill up and the flight will end up being oversold. I always thought it was because of web specials but after reading comments here I guess that wouldn't necessarily be true.

One thing I've noticed is that UA is often times slightly cheaper than AS on many routes but I credit that to the fact that their slate was wiped clean due to bankruptcy so they are not saddled with the same bills that a normal operation would be. They can afford to offer slightly lower fares..... for a while, then they will run themselves into the ground.

I imagine that everyone here is familiar with this website, but I often check Digital City for low fares. It's updated several times daily and they list the web specials for each weekend if they are really good. Just click on your city for the low fares currently being offered from that city. www.digitalcity.com/travel
