How expensive is the 15 minute taxi ride to Central they mention on the hotel's transportation page? Might be a happy compromise.
Watch out for traffic. I've been stuck in the tunnel between the Ovolo Southside and Wan Chai on the other side for >1hr once. I wouldn't risk it… just take the MTR.
