Well I just booked my annual SEA-SNA and SEA-SAN for July and paid $300 each on UA. AS was right there with them, so not sure AS has to worry too much about UA poaching fares on this route (at least for those dates). *grin*
While WN is always the cheapest way to go, I fly UA for the miles and AS for the service (and cheap upgrades). Normally, my CA runs are on AS (since F is only 5K and the service makes it worth it), but I want to support UA (as well as add another 5K miles towards 1P requalification). If AS had been significantly cheaper ($50+), then I'd have gone with AS.
